Best Pulled Pork Ever.

Don't judge the photography skills.
It's obvious.. I have none.

This was one of my weird ideas that just happened to turn out freakin' awesome.
And, if you don't like it.. well, you're crazy.

  • 1 Pork Shoulder (Whatever size will feed your crowd.)
  • Rub with minced garlic, salt, pepper, mesquite seasoning, and liquid smoke.
  • Slice up an onion into quarters, place on top. Do the same with half an onion. (These WILL be burned but, they had a lot of flavor.)
  • Lay the pork shoulder, fat side up, in a baking pan.
  • Pour in enough Dr. Pepper for the pan to be 1/4 way full.
Bake in a 265 degree oven for 10-12 hours. The longer it cooks, the better it will be.

After 11 hours in the oven.
Smelled AMAZING and tasted even better.

We used this for a few meals:
Hot Mess (If you don't know what this is, Google search "Pecan Lodge Hot Mess"
Pulled Pork Quesadillas
and..
I also mixed this into an omelet for Princess B & I.
